Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, stated that Commemoration Day is a solemn occasion to honor the bravery, dedication, and sacrifices of the UAE's noble martyrs who gave their lives in service of the nation’s dignity, safeguarding the security of its people, and upholding justice. These sacrifices will forever remain beacons of pride for the people of the UAE and its resilient Armed Forces, who exemplify the highest ideals of sacrifice and courage, standing as a steadfast shield to protect the nation’s achievements and ensuring that the UAE's flag flies high with pride and honor.
On this occasion, he extended heartfelt gratitude to the nation’s martyrs and their families, whose loved ones gave their lives defending the UAE’s values, dignity, and people, preserving the flag that stands as a symbol of the country’s pride and resilience. He expressed profound pride in the UAE Armed Forces, which remains the nation’s shield, protecting its people and accomplishments.
Al Qubaisi further noted that the brave heroes of the Armed Forces are exemplars of honor and sacrifice, embodying values of courage that inspire pride in every Emirati. They are the definitive guarantors of national security and the steadfast protectors of the UAE's achievements. They drive progress under the blanket of protection provided by the UAE's heroic military and security institutions, which draw their strength and sacrifices from the noble values and steadfast principles instilled by the nation's wise leadership.
Within the same framework, Abu Dhabi City Municipality carried out the official ceremonies to commemorate Martyr’s Day, at the municipality’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
