Abu Dhabi

In its ongoing efforts to foster happiness and provide diverse recreational and social experiences, Abu Dhabi City Municipality organized the "Winter Festival" across Abu Dhabi and its suburbs. This initiative reflects the Municipality's commitment to utilizing public spaces for the benefit and enjoyment of the community, creating a vibrant agenda of activities that enrich social connections and offer unique opportunities for learning and entertainment.
The festival featured a variety of workshops aimed at children and youth, focusing on sustainability, nurturing local talents, and supporting productive families. These activities served to enhance community engagement while promoting educational and environmental awareness in a dynamic and entertaining atmosphere.
In Mohammed Bin Zayed City, the festival was hosted by the Municipal Community Center from January 5 to 14, 2025, at the city square. The event aimed to strengthen social bonds and create an enjoyable and educational environment for all age groups while raising awareness of sustainability and social responsibility. A key component was the provision of 15 kiosks for productive families to showcase and sell their products at an affordable cost, encouraging small business growth. The festival was made possible through collaboration with various partners, including the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, which provided organizational support and a K9 demonstration, NMC Royal Hospital, which offered medical services, and Agthia, which distributed free Al Ain water to attendees. Visitors enjoyed a range of activities, such as children’s entertainment, sustainability workshops, handicraft demonstrations, a poetry evening, nostalgic musical performances, community markets, food trucks, and a segment titled "Discover Abu Dhabi’s Sky."
Similarly, the Shahama Municipal Center held its "Winter Festival" from January 16 to 25, 2025, at Al Rahba Square, focusing on promoting physical activity, public health, and environmental sustainability. This event featured creative workshops, artistic performances, and educational sessions on safety procedures during crises and maintaining cleanliness in public spaces. It also fostered sustainable behaviors among participants. The festival partnered with entities such as KEZAD Group, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and the National Center of Meteorology. Families enjoyed diverse attractions, including food and game zones, while the main stage hosted awareness sessions, including public health education on pet care.
In Al Riyadh City, the Municipal Community Center held its festival from January 3 to 12, 2025, at Al Bairaq Park in Al Shamkha. The event emphasized the importance of community involvement in Abu Dhabi’s development, providing a platform to showcase local talents and support productive families with 10 kiosks dedicated to displaying their goods. Visitors engaged in entertainment, educational workshops, and interactive sessions, while strategic partners, including Abu Dhabi Police, the Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Civil Defense Authority, contributed unique features such as a virtual reality showcase and interactive performances.
The Baniyas Winter Festival, organized by the Municipal Community Center, took place from January 27 to February 2, 2025, at Al Shamkha Square.
