Abu Dhabi City Municipality is keen to activate parks and gardens in its various geographical areas, and provide them with modern facilities and services that enhance the quality of life and bring happiness to the community. The municipality also organizes various community entertainment events to make these facilities a favorite destination for families, and contribute to bringing joy and happiness to their souls and increasing their satisfaction.
As part of this effort, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through Al Wathba Municipality Center, is organizing the "Basat Al Fareej Market" event in Al Shamkha Square from October 25 to November 3, 2024. This event is held in cooperation with the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, the Civil Defense Authority, the Abu Dhabi Food Safety Authority, the Arabic Language Protection Team, Teddy Bear Nursery, Al Bustan Clinic, Abu Dhabi Falconry Club, and Image Nation Abu Dhabi, with the aim of serving and delighting residents and giving them a wonderful family time in Al Shamkha Square.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality invites families, individuals and people of all ages to experience a unique shopping adventure at Al Shamkha Square. The event will include various activities, entertainment shows, interactive workshops and food and beverage options in the food court. There will also be dedicated play areas where children can enjoy fun activities.
The Municipality, in cooperation with its strategic partners, will organize many events, workshops and daily competitions from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm during the market period. These activities include musical performances, the Happiness Patrol, the Children’s Patrol, police dog shows, awareness workshops, competitions, valuable prizes, face painting activities for children, and more, in addition to screening many entertaining films by Image Nation Abu Dhabi.
The market also offers visitors an enjoyable shopping experience, as it allows the community to buy high-quality fresh agricultural products, dairy products, honey, dates, herbal products, and items from youth and home businesses, such as perfumes, clothes, accessories and more.
