Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s Environment, Health, and Safety Department has launched a safety awareness campaign in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority and Aster Hospital to ensure safe environments in parks and recreational spaces, enhance community well-being, and foster family enjoyment. This initiative occurred at Family Park, along the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The campaign aimed to reach park visitors of all ages, raise awareness of essential safety measures and standards within parks, preserve their facilities, landscaping, and green spaces, and maintain the clean and healthy environment these areas offer. These efforts help sustain Family Park’s image as a modern, model facility that provides community members with safe, enjoyable spaces to spend quality time with their families.
During the campaign, municipality staff informed Family Park visitors of the importance of disposing waste in designated areas to preserve the park’s cleanliness and aesthetic appeal. They emphasized to parents the importance of supervising their children during play and reporting any potential hazards that might impact the safe enjoyment of park facilities.
Municipal staff further encouraged parents to comply with all posted regulations and safety guidelines displayed throughout the park. This includes verifying playground equipment’s age and size suitability, ensuring children do not play barefoot, and following personal protective equipment guidelines when using bicycles.
The campaign also featured various entertaining activities for visitors of all ages, including competitions and prize giveaways for participants and winners, fostering an atmosphere of joy and community engagement.
