Abu Dhabi City Municipality, represented by the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector, called on all community members, including park-goers, to adhere to barbecue in designated areas, contribute to maintaining the general civilized appearance, protect and preserve recreational and public facilities, and adhere to civilized behaviors that will achieve sustainability for these facilities that were established to make the community happy and provide family entertainment venues with international specifications.
This came during the awareness campaign organized by the municipality with the aim of enhancing community responsibility regarding adherence to laws regulating the behavior of visiting parks and recreational parks, especially the mechanisms and behaviors of barbecue, and urging visitors to these facilities to follow practices that help preserve and preserve these recreational areas, especially protecting green spaces, trees, and the components and assets of these parks.
During the campaign, the municipality urged park-goers to actively contribute to maintaining the cleanliness of parks, not to throw barbecue waste randomly, and to ensure that barbecue remains and burnt charcoal are placed in the designated cement containers, to preserve the environment, achieve the highest safety standards in parks, and at the same time improve the general appearance of recreational facilities.
Within this framework, the Musaffah Municipality Center implemented an awareness campaign regarding compliance with the requirements for practicing barbecue in public parks, in Al Salamiya Park, and the Municipal Presence Center - Rabdan organized another campaign in Rabdan Park.
Al Shahama Municipality Center, Al Madinah Municipality Center, Al Wathba Municipality Center, and in Mohammed bin Zayed City, implemented a number of campaigns in the parks affiliated with these centers, aimed at raising community awareness of the requirements for practicing barbecue in public parks, and protecting the environment and general appearance.
The campaigns included distributing awareness leaflets, conducting field trips to parks, and communicating directly with park visitors to raise their awareness of this aspect. The campaigns also sought to spread awareness ideas through the (Frijna) application, which addressed positive behaviors in practicing barbecue in parks, and the impact of adhering to these requirements on the sustainability of public and recreational facilities, and preserving the beauty and general appearance of these facilities.
In this context, Abu Dhabi City Municipality expressed its appreciation and thanks to the partners who contributed to the success of these campaigns, represented by: First Abu Dhabi Bank, Al Farah Epic.

However, if the municipality is forced to issue a financial violation, the violation of barbecue in places not designated for that purpose, according to what is stipulated in the legislation and laws, is 1000 dirhams.
