In the third quarter of 2024, Abu Dhabi City Municipality carried out 2,878 inspection campaigns targeting beauty centers, men’s barbershops, and children’s salons within and outside Abu Dhabi Island, led by the Municipal Services Sector - Public Health Department. These campaigns aim to safeguard public health and safety while educating business owners and employees on essential health standards that must be met and maintained.
The Municipality increases these inspections in the run-up to holidays and official celebrations. In anticipation of the 53rd National Day, the Public Health Department launched an awareness campaign on hygiene standards and required health protocols for beauty centers and children’s salons. The campaign spanned ten consecutive days across Abu Dhabi Island and surrounding areas, encompassing approximately 450 inspection visits to these establishments.
Municipal inspectors ensured all required health standards were implemented in these centers, educating owners and staff on the importance of public hygiene, adherence to health regulations, and continuous and routine cleanliness to protect the community’s health and safety.
It is noteworthy that the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Municipal Services Sector - Public Health Department, conducted 7,724 varied field inspection campaigns in the third quarter of this year. These included 2,878 campaigns on beauty centers, 1,013 on drinking water coolers, 895 inspections on veterinary-controlled facilities, 658 on laundry services, 1,187 on pet-related matters, 392 on drinking water tanks, 164 on public restrooms, 153 on gaming halls, 306 on auto repair workshops, and 78 on swimming pools.
Abu Dhabi
