With the aim of creating health and sports awareness among workers and school students, activating community facilities in serving the community, encouraging the practice of sports, and making it a way of life, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector, organized the (Our Sports Facilities) event in the geographical areas affiliated with the sector, and aimed to make workers and school students happy, and provide recreational and sports activities that enhance their general health, and provide them with the opportunity to practice sports in a safe and healthy environment.
The event, which was implemented by Musaffah Municipality Center, included organizing sports matches at the municipality's playgrounds in Musaffah, where a sports championship was held in football, basketball, and volleyball, and honoring the winning teams, in cooperation with: (ICAD Workers City), Life Care Hospital, and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police. The event also included organizing an awareness workshop on public health, organizing a (walking event) at the (Al Nouf) track, and honoring the participants, in cooperation with the ICAD Residential City for Workers, the New National Medical Center, and the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police.
In the same context, Al Wathba Municipality Center implemented a sports event within the framework of the “Our Sports Facilities” initiative in Al Adla Park, which aimed to make school students happy - the second and third cycles from 11 to 16 years old, and motivate them to practice sports, and make it a way of life, within the framework of the municipality’s continuous efforts to maintain the health and safety of society, instill concepts of physical health, and encourage all members of society on the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle due to its great impact in enhancing the quality of life.
Many partners contributed to supporting this event, including: Hawas Perfumes, Baniyas Sports Club, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Life Care Hospital LLC, Tadweer Group, Gulf Pearl Dental Center, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, Al Wathba Library, and Indian International .School, ADNOC Distribution.
The event included many recreational activities and competitions, workshops, discussions, and educational and awareness lectures.
