Abu Dhabi

In line with efforts to preserve the city’s visual appeal, foster community partnerships to reduce urban disfigurement, and work collaboratively to enhance quality of life, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through its Sub-municipal Operations Sector, has launched a comprehensive awareness campaign titled My City is More Beautiful. The campaign is organized with strategic partners, including the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Tadweer Group, Bawabat Al Sharq Mall, a tree nursery, Future Leaders School, National Paints, and the New National Medical Center.
In parallel, the Baniyas Municipal Community Center conducted the Ghaf and Flag event under the My City is More Beautiful theme, coinciding with Abu Dhabi City Municipality's celebration of the 53rd National Day at Bawabat Al Sharq Mall. This event sought to raise community awareness of the importance of supporting municipal efforts to enhance the city’s aesthetics, combat urban blight, and encourage residents to engage in planting and plant care, thereby adding beauty to public and private spaces, homes, and streets. This vision positively impacts the overall appearance and image of our cities.
The Abu Dhabi, Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, supported the event by offering a workshop on agriculture, while a local nursery distributed ghaf saplings to encourage residents to plant.
In a related initiative, the Zayed City Municipality Center organized a My City is More Beautiful event at Future Leaders School – Rabdan, aimed at motivating students to actively maintain the city's urban appeal and protect it from all forms of visual pollution. Tadweer Group contributed to the event’s success by providing an educational workshop on correct waste management practices and the community’s role in fostering a clean, healthy environment.
Students from Future Leaders School participated in numerous activities, such as planting seedlings, engaging in cleanup efforts, and participating in a sustainability competition alongside the event. Additional activities included a community bus tour and a competition for the best-recycled materials model.
The Musaffah Municipality Center also held a My City is More Beautiful event at Musaffah Bazaar Market—Musaffah Walkway, targeting workers' awareness about maintaining the market's and walkway's visual appeal. This was promoted by encouraging adherence to civic practices in waste disposal and proper placement.
National Paints supported the event by refreshing the walkway with paint touch-ups and creating mural art on the walls of Musaffah Bazaar. The New National Medical Center also contributed by offering free health checks and a lecture on public health.
