To spread happiness among senior citizens during the summer season, the Abu Dhabi Municipality, through the Baniyas City Municipal Service Center, is organizing the "Summer with Us" event under the slogan "(Baniyas Community Cafila: Awareness - Sports - Entertainment)." The event will take place from July 15 to August 5, 2024, in collaboration with The General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, Al Forsan Resort, Bawabat Al Sharq Mall and Integrated Transport Center.
The event includes organizing weekly Quran memorization classes for men at the Holy Quran Memorization Center—Baniyas and women at the Holy Quran Memorization Centers in cooperation with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
The event will feature a variety of workshops, including Fire safety and prevention workshops in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, Home gardening workshops in pottery and pottery painting, and Food waste awareness workshops in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Control Authority.
The event includes a variety of sports and recreational activities. Sports activities are organized by registering participants in the " Active Hub" program in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. Recreational trips are also organized with Al Forsan International Sports Resort to practice padel and shooting. Transportation will be provided to participating senior citizens in cooperation with the Integrated Transport Center.
