
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance community wellbeing, strengthen social cohesion, and expand strategic partnerships, Abu Dhabi City Municipality is organising the “Eid Joy” initiative across several locations on Abu Dhabi Island and the mainland. The programme targets all segments of society through a range of innovative activities carrying social, awareness, and entertainment messages, contributing to a joyful atmosphere throughout the Eid Al Adha holiday.
The initiative reflects the Municipality’s commitment to strengthening its direct community presence by engaging residents within their communities through impactful initiatives that reinforce social bonds, support effective partnerships, and deliver a positive and sustainable impact, in line with its vision of fostering a more connected and cohesive society.
At Family Park “A” on Abu Dhabi Island, the “Eid Joy” event is organised in collaboration with the Family Development Foundation, Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, Emirates Heritage Club, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, SEHA, the Blood Bank, Abu Dhabi Media Network, and the Emirates Red Crescent.
The event features a variety of entertainment activities, alongside dedicated children’s zones offering awareness workshops, creating an integrated community experience that combines enjoyment with meaningful engagement.
In Madinat Zayed Mall, the initiative continues in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and California Centre, aiming to spread joy among residents, enhance the festive atmosphere, expand direct engagement with the community, and deliver awareness messages in a positive and engaging manner.
The programme includes interactive competitions, educational workshops, family-oriented entertainment shows, and the distribution of gifts, creating a vibrant and engaging environment.
The initiative also includes field visits to homes in Madinat Zayed, where residents are greeted on the occasion of Eid and presented with gifts, reflecting the Municipality’s commitment to direct community engagement and extending the initiative’s positive impact across different areas.
At the Municipality’s playgrounds in Musaffah, “Eid Joy” activities are organised for guests of the UAE President from Emirates Humanitarian City, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, LLH Hospital, the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, Emirates Humanitarian City, Lulu Hypermarket, City Markets, and Starbucks.
These activities include awareness workshops on maintaining public appearance, children’s games and competitions, traditional Eid hospitality, and the distribution of Eidiya, vouchers, gifts, and toys, alongside appearances by cartoon characters to create a festive and welcoming atmosphere.
At Al Khatem Park, the Municipality is also organising “Eid Joy” in collaboration with Tadweer Group, Noor Al Sahra Company, Gulf Nursery, Yas Mart, and Nova Medical Centre. The event includes awareness sessions, a gardening workshop, and a first aid workshop, in addition to games, competitions, and prizes, creating a family-oriented environment that combines education with entertainment.
This initiative also reflects the Municipality’s commitment to promoting social responsibility values and celebrating Eid Al Adha by engaging all segments of society, including guests of the UAE President from Emirates Humanitarian City, in meaningful community activities that embody compassion and human connection.
Through organising “Eid Joy” across multiple locations, Abu Dhabi City Municipality reaffirms its commitment to strengthening community engagement, expanding partnerships with various entities, supporting quality-of-life objectives, and reinforcing social cohesion and shared responsibility, in line with Abu Dhabi’s vision of a happy, stable, and cohesive society.
