Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the Urban Planning Sector, held a number of awareness workshops during the first quarter of 2025, targeting engineers working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and engineering establishments operating in the emirate, from contracting companies and engineering consulting offices.
The workshops aimed to raise awareness among workers in engineering establishments about the performance evaluation and engineering excellence system, its objectives and measurement methods, the classification system and instructions, explaining the steps for applying for classification services on the "Tamm" platform, and presenting models of documents required from engineers and engineering establishments to submit in the registration application, performance evaluation and classification, as well as presenting technical and technological developments related to the registration and classification systems.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality called on all engineers working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and engineering establishments from contracting companies and engineering consulting offices, to register in the Engineers Registration System through the "Tamm" platform to obtain cards that will enable them to deal with relevant government agencies, including the various municipalities of the emirate, as contracting companies and engineering consulting offices must attach electronic copies of the engineers' registration cards for all transactions related to the construction and building sector.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality urges engineers with activity to upgrade their registration category from practicing engineer to specialized engineer, as it represents an important step in their professional career, and confirms their competence, experience and knowledge of the engineering legislation, regulations and technical guides issued by the department in their field of specialization, which reflects the engineers' commitment to professional excellence and contributing to the development of the engineering sector.
