Represented by the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, through the City Municipality Center and the Mussafah Municipality Center, organized a sports initiative titled “Together We Walk”. This initiative aimed to motivate community members to engage in sports, promote public health, and encourage the adoption of sports as a sustainable lifestyle. The event spanned four days in Mussafah and Abu Dhabi.
Within this framework, the Mussafah Municipality Center implemented the “Together We Walk” event in the front area of the Life Care Hospital. A number of workers participated in this sports activity, which received support from Life Care Hospital in several ways: providing the event site, supplying shirts for the workers, arranging for an ambulance, and organizing an awareness workshop. This workshop was presented by the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters and titled “Area Security and Traffic Regulation at the Site”.
The event featured a walking tour, supervised by the General Department of Community Happiness and a group of workers, with the participation of the Musaffah Police Station and Life Care Hospital. Additionally, an awareness workshop was organized, presented by a specialist doctor from Life Care Hospital, focusing on health and preventive affairs.
Similarly, the City Municipality Center, in collaboration with the Musaffah Municipality Center, organized another event titled: “Together We Walk” at Dalma Park in Abu Dhabi. This event focused on involving women in a walking and sports tour, along with various other sports activities. The aim was to enhance health and sports awareness, encourage the use of community facilities provided by the Municipality, contribute to reducing common diseases, and promote sports as a way of life for all society members.
The Municipality expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation for the support provided by its strategic partners, which contributed to the success of the two events. These partners include Life Care Hospital, Abu Dhabi Chess Club and Mind Games, Haraka Fitness for Community Sports, Abu Dhabi Cycling Club, Dr. Nutrition, and Al Reem Hospital.
