Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi City Municipality has urged beachgoers to prioritize adherence to safety measures and preserve the environment and beach facilities, which are established for the community's enjoyment.
Within this framework, the Environment, Health, and Safety Management, in collaboration with safety-specialized partners, is implementing an awareness campaign on Al Bateen Beach this evening, Thursday, July 18th. The campaign aims to educate residents and beach visitors, emphasizing the importance of parents supervising their children while swimming despite the presence of a rescue team. It underscores that monitoring children during sea activities enhances their safety and protects them from drowning and other risks.
As part of its awareness campaign, Abu Dhabi City Municipality emphasizes the positive outcomes of adhering to laws and guidelines posted on signs. It reaffirms its confidence in beachgoers and their commitment to the marine environment by refraining from littering and disposing of waste haphazardly and, instead, disposing of it in designated containers.
The campaign includes several entertaining and interactive activities for the community. These include hosting contests for the public to encourage participation and raise awareness about safety, environmental requirements, and cleanliness on the beaches.
The event also aims to educate the community to prevent accidents and provide everyone with a safe and healthy environment. This will involve explaining topics such as heat stress, dehydration, sun protection, safe swimming practices, necessary precautions when swimming with children, first aid, and emergency response.
