Abu Dhabi City Municipality expressed gratitude and appreciation for the dedicated efforts of its engineering team across various fields and projects, highlighting their central role in promoting comprehensive development and supporting initiatives to enhance the quality of life.
This sentiment was conveyed during the celebration organized by the Support and Assistance Services Sector – Human Resources Department on World Engineers Day.
The municipality emphasized that the creativity and dedication of its engineers have significantly contributed to the advancement of vital and strategic projects executed according to the highest global practices and standards, aligning with community aspirations and addressing development needs across all levels.
The municipality further explained that its celebration of World Engineers Day is a tribute to the engineers' efforts in achieving progress, enhancing the quality of life, improving infrastructure, and establishing public facilities that contribute to the community's happiness.
In line with this, the celebration also included a workshop titled: "Engineering Solutions for a Sustainable World."
It is noteworthy that Abu Dhabi City Municipality currently employs 133 male engineers and 86 female engineers across various specializations.
The positive and creative role of the Abu Dhabi City Municipality engineers is clearly evident in the design and implementation of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, tunnels, and other public and recreational facilities. Their contributions extend to urban planning, enhancing the cityscape, promoting agricultural expansion, and landscape engineering. Additionally, they play a crucial role in spatial data management and geographic information systems (GIS), among other tasks that support comprehensive economic and urban development in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs. These efforts also contribute to expanding service and recreational facilities, ultimately improving residents' quality of life and happiness.
