Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi City Municipality has urged engineers working in Abu Dhabi to register in the Engineers' Registration System. It has also called on engineering firms, including contracting companies and engineering consultancy offices, to complete their classification through the TAMM platform.
This message was conveyed during a workshop conducted via Microsoft Teams by the Urban Planning Sector—Classification and Professional Registration Department at Abu Dhabi City Municipality. The workshop aimed to inform these engineering firms about the latest updates on registration and classification, their requirements, and standards. This initiative is part of the awareness plan for the third quarter of 2024. The municipality highlighted that compliance with the registration and classification of engineers and engineering firms contributes to increased registered and classified firms, positively impacting the engineering and construction sector and enhancing adherence to the regulations and laws governing this vital sector.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness among engineers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi about the Engineers' Registration System, its instructions, and how to apply for registration services on the TAMM platform. It also aimed to educate engineering firms about the Performance Evaluation System, engineering excellence, its objectives, measurement methods, and the classification system and instructions. The workshop explained how to apply for classification services on the TAMM platform and presented examples of the documents required from engineers and engineering firms for registration, performance evaluation, and classification requests. Additionally, technical and technological updates related to the registration and classification systems were discussed.
Abu Dhabi City Municipality clarified that registering all engineers working in the construction and building sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through the new Engineers' Registration System on the TAMM platform enables them to obtain the cards necessary for interacting with relevant government entities, including the emirate's municipalities. Contracting companies and engineering consultancy offices must attach electronic copies of these registration cards for all construction and building sector transactions. The municipality also emphasized that the design engineer must display their card on engineering plans according to their specialization.
