Abu Dhabi City Municipality, represented by Al Wathba Municipality Center, in collaboration with the Camel Racing Federation and Al Jarf Company for Project Development, has completed the natural and complex landscaping works at the VIP Platform for Camel Races at the Southern Arena. This project is part of the effort to enhance the infrastructure of community, sports, and heritage facilities while adding beauty and harmony to the components of the heritage racing site.
The platform's natural landscaping project enhanced the aesthetics and harmony of the natural landscapes through the geometric formations implemented, blending the green areas with complex landscaping elements. This created a beautiful artistic scene at the site.
The project also achieved sustainability standards by reducing water consumption to irrigate the green spaces in the area. Irrigation water consumption decreased from 53,608 cubic meters annually to 21,443 cubic meters, reflecting a 60% reduction in water usage and a 45% reduction in maintenance costs.
The project involved installing complex landscaping elements, planting green areas, flowering and varied shrubs, a decorative lighting system, decorative gravel, ornamental rocks, and adding various plant species, all of which added a striking beauty and charm, harmony to the location.
