In support of its efforts and continuous inspection campaigns to eliminate the phenomenon of street vendors who sell electronic smoking products, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, represented by the Mohammed bin Zayed City Municipality Center, in cooperation with strategic partners and relevant authorities, implemented a campaign under the title “Our Children, Our Future” with the aim of raising awareness among school students to avoid negative behaviors and practices.
The campaign featured teams from the Ministry of Interior's Federal Social Support Department educating students in several schools across Mohammed bin Zayed City about the dangers of electronic smoking, energy drinks, and other negative behaviors prevalent among teenagers and school students.
The campaign also included a visual presentation highlighting the harmful effects of smoking and its dangers to human health and an educational lecture for students on the subject. Additionally, various activities were held at the school’s theater, where students participated in an awareness segment with several parents. This initiative aimed to enhance social responsibility within the community and encourage creating a smoke-free and positive environment within educational institutions, protecting children from the harmful consequences of such behaviors.
