To promote national identity and support and encourage young entrepreneurs and productive Emirati families, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, through the Al Shahama Municipal Center, organized the "Souq Al-Tayyibin" event for ten consecutive days in Al-Rahba Square. This initiative aims to create family-friendly community destinations and entertaining atmospheres that contribute to the happiness of all segments of society and enhance cooperation, interaction, and communication between adults and children through shared activities that facilitate the exchange of experiences among different generations.
The market was a hub of activity, attracting visitors of all ages and creating an interactive environment where everyone could celebrate authentic Emirati values.
The market featured numerous entertainment activities, educational competitions, and workshops implemented in collaboration with a large group of strategic partners, including the Department of Economic Development, the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters - Al-Rahba Police Station, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Al-Bahya Library, the Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund, the KIZAD Group, Medical Beauty Center, Al-Bustan Group, Royal Health Group, the Emirates Zoo and Garden Resort, Al Ain Farms, and Gracia Group.
Visitors enjoyed a shopping experience in a fun entertainment atmosphere, with around 30 booths and platforms allowing young entrepreneurs and Emirati families to showcase and promote their products. The booths featured a variety of handmade crafts, artistic artifacts, natural health products, and traditional foods that reflect Emirati culture and local heritage, attracting visitors to experience new flavors and relive childhood memories, making it the perfect choice for the public.
The audience participated in various practical workshops that provided visitors with the opportunity to learn new skills, including educational workshops in traditional arts and crafts led by specialists, such as pottery shaping workshops, natural soap-making workshops using safe ingredients, glass painting workshops to learn painting techniques from a visual artist, jewelry-making seminars to learn how to design handmade jewelry with a specialist designer, in addition to cooking workshops.
The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City and the strategic partners paid great attention to the children visiting the market by designing play areas and hosting numerous activities, entertainment competitions, artistic performances, and interactive experiences. These included drawing competitions, physical games, workshops in arts and crafts for making bracelets and decorative pieces, cooking contests for children, and challenges in preparing simple meals under the supervision of cooking specialists.
In addition, creative performances were presented by supporting and participating entities, along with daily public competitions in general knowledge, riddles, and interactive questions, where prizes and shopping vouchers were awarded to the winners.
