The Abu Dhabi City Municipality encourages community members to preserve the city’s beautiful and civilized appearance by keeping the alleys in residential neighborhoods and the areas next to and in front of shops and public and private facilities clean.
This came during an awareness campaign implemented by the Sub-Municipalities Operations Sector in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs Within the framework of the (Umm Saeed) initiative
The campaign aimed to enhance community participation and responsibility in improving the quality of life and protecting the general appearance from various deformities.
This campaign comes within the framework of activating society's role and continuous awareness to preserve the general civilized appearance and enhance the cleanliness of residential neighborhoods and commercial areas, which positively reflects on the health and safety of community members.
The scope of the campaign has been expanded to include areas under the jurisdiction of the following municipal centers: Al Shahama Municipality Center, Al Wathba Municipality Center, Musaffah Municipality Center, Zayed City Municipality Center, Madinat Municipality Center, Bani Yas Municipal Community Center.
The campaign also included awareness publications on social media sites, on the official accounts of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, and in the "Freejna" application, in addition to field visits by specialized teams to educate the community and motivate them to participate in protecting the general appearance and cleanliness of all facilities.
The campaign also made sure to raise awareness among residents about the effects of throwing waste and garbage between residential neighborhoods or on sidewalks, explaining the legal responsibility and violations resulting from throwing waste in places not designated for this purpose, and the campaign urged residents to contribute to removing waste between alleys to enhance the general appearance and health of residents and consecrate the beautiful character of all facilities.
