Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s Urban Planning Sector has organized awareness workshops throughout the fourth quarter of 2024 to strengthen engagement with the construction sector, specifically consultancy offices and contracting firms. These sessions target engineers and engineering entities in Abu Dhabi, including contracting companies and engineering consultancy offices, to familiarize them with the Engineer Qualification Testing System and application procedures through the "THINK PROP" platform. The workshops also cover the performance assessment and engineering excellence systems, including objectives, metrics, classification procedures, and steps to access classification services via the "TAMM" platform. Attendees receive guidance on the required documentation for registration, performance evaluation, classification, and the latest technical updates to registration and classification systems.
The Urban Planning Sector has actively encouraged engineers and engineering entities, such as contractors and consultants, to attend these monthly workshops. This underscores their importance in keeping participants updated on new regulations and work procedures to achieve global best practices.
In this context, Abu Dhabi City Municipality invites all engineers in Abu Dhabi’s construction sector to register under the new engineer registration system through the "TAMM" platform. This registration grants access to official identification cards required for interactions with relevant government bodies, including municipal authorities. Contracting companies and consultancy offices must attach electronic copies of these registration cards for all building sector transactions, and designers must display their card credentials on engineering drawings according to their specialization.
