Through Al Shahamah Municipality Center, Abu Dhabi City Municipality has completed the rehabilitation of 3 multi-use playgrounds in Al Bahyah, and the establishment of a multi-use playground and a play and gym area in the New Shahama Park, aiming to climb up with the quality of Municipality’s assets, as well as to encourage exercising, to provide a safe, sustainable, and entertaining environment for everyone, and to dedicate all the best within Abu Dhabi.
In more detail, the 3-playground rehabilitation project in Al Bahyah consists of: A football playground with an artificial turf with a total area of 1650 square meters (50x33m).
A multi-use playground with acrylic floors (five-a-side football (Futsal) – basketball – Handball) with a total area of 375 square meters (25x15m).
And a volleyball playground with acrylic floors, with a total area of 375 square meters (25x15m).
In addition to setting up 10 long light poles with energy-saving lights.
On the other hand, a multi-use playground was completed in the new Shahama Park with acrylic floors (five-a-side football (Futsal) – basketball – handball) with a total area of 594 square meters (33x18m), in addition to setting up an 84m metal fence around it, two gates, and 4 long light poles with energy-saving projectors.
The project additionally consisted of the establishment of a gym area in the new Shahama Park for gym equipment, with a total area of 245 square meters and acrylic flooring. The area was provided with 5 multi-use fitness equipment to serve all visitors of all ages in order to encourage exercising and maintaining their health and wellbeing. The gym area was also provided with resting seats.
This way, Abu Dhabi City Municipality ensures the extension of gym areas as part of its assets in gardens, parks, and suburbs, all in order to reinforce health in society, provide entertainment and sports facilities that meet all ages and needs, and integrate sports as a healthy lifestyle to better the lives of every individual.
