Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Fujairah Municipality discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation relations between the two parties in many fields, and benefit from successful and distinguished experiences to improve services, and develop performance in a way that serves the community, and contributes to achieving comprehensive development.
This came during the reception of the Infrastructure and Municipal Assets Sector of a delegation from Fujairah Municipality, within the framework of benchmarking visits to review successful and distinguished experiences, which would support and enhance the services of the municipal system on both sides.
The meeting addressed several topics, the most important of which were: reviewing the experience and project of Abu Dhabi City Municipality in the field of developing road lighting systems using the latest modern technologies that comply with sustainability standards, rationalize energy consumption and rely on LED lighting devices.
The meeting also discussed future projects and initiatives related to tunnel lighting management systems, and decorative lighting for pedestrian and vehicle bridges in Abu Dhabi city.
It is worth noting that the Abu Dhabi City Municipality, represented by the Infrastructure and Municipal Assets Sector - Road Maintenance Department, won international awards during the past year 2024 within the LED energy-saving road lighting project, such as the Harvard Business Award, the Austar Award (Elite Category), and the Global Best Practices Award (Seven Star Category).
