Al Ain City Municipality Theater is one of the earliest cultural monuments in Al Ain. A platform for the artistic and cultural movement in the city, it is one of the most important vital facilities of the municipality, as it was established in 1989 and was officially inaugurated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, while attending the closing ceremony of school activities.
Al Ain City Municipality Theater hosted many local, Gulf theatrical performances and international performances, in addition to concerts, various celebrations, honoring and graduation ceremonies, evening events, seminars, lectures and forums of various kinds.
Al Ain City Municipality Theater has undergone multiple maintenance operations that qualified it to be an integrated destination for organizing and holding the most prominent events and activities in the city. This lead to the achievement of the desires and expectations of customers. The Theater includes an showground that can accommodates around 600 comfortable chairs , and equipped with an advanced sound system of high quality and accuracy experience for the attendees. In addition, a fixed and mobile smart lighting system managed by a software controlled network system, which enhances visual attractiveness and creates an effective atmosphere, compatible with the principles of sustainability with lights that reduces the environmental impact through less energy consumption and heat generation.
The stage includes a HD digital screen with high resolution measuring 5 m * 3 m that can be used as a background, in addition to a main control room equipped with computers, sound control, lighting and output, and a technical staff specialized in managing and operating theaters.
The Theater hall has been prepared to suit various needs, such as hosting seminars, lectures, forums and evenings by providing technical devices and including wired and wireless microphones, chairs and electronic screens for lecturers and participants that enable them to follow the content of the main screen.
The Municipality Theater is equipped with a number of facilities that support the beneficiaries of its use, such as changing rooms, exhibitor supplies, reception rooms, corridors that can be used to organize specialized exhibitions, a reception lobby, toilets, car and bus parking, a private entrance to the theater, as well as a paved front yard.
Al Ain City Municipality Theater is the only theater where reservations are requested through the Government Services Platform in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (TAMM) in order to facilitate the customer's journey and provide a simplified, efficient and fast service experience.
