Al Ain Municipality is continuing the development of Khalid bin Al-Walid Street, following the Emirate of Abu Dhabi's plan and policy to serve and integrate people of determination within public facilities. The street has been designed to exude elegance and modernity, offering integrated services that meet the needs of all community members. The street features dedicated walking and jogging paths, six fitness areas, zones for people of determination, four children's play areas, seating areas, decorative lighting, and more.
The municipality is committed to enhancing its services to meet the needs of all community members, including people with special needs. The location has been equipped with six fitness zones featuring 18 fitness equipment pieces, areas dedicated to people of determination, and four children’s play areas featuring 11 pieces of play equipment, all with rubber flooring to ensure safety and security during play.
In a bid to improve the aesthetic appearance of the walking paths and enhance services, the municipality has added comprehensive public facilities that meet the highest global standards. These include ground and decorative lighting with 108 units—88 ground lights and 20 decorative ones—along with 24 benches, 20 trash bins, and communal shrubs.
