Al Ain City Municipality, represented by the Public Health Department, organized the Health and Beauty Forum at the municipality's Auditorium. This event focuses on the importance of adhering to health regulations and hygiene in beauty establishments, with significant attendance from owners of beauty centers and salons for both women and men in the city. The forum aims to raise awareness among workers in beauty centers about the importance of complying with health and safety regulations, contributing to the improvement of service quality to ensure community safety.

 

During the forum, the importance of inspecting beauty establishments was highlighted, as inspections are a necessary and vital process to ensure compliance with health regulations. This is considered an essential part of protecting public health in the community and reducing the spread of diseases and infections associated with improper practices in these establishments, thereby preserving the health of visitors to the centers.

 

Sultan Al Mazroui, Section Head of the Health Activities Section at the Al Ain City Municipality, stated: “Al Ain City has 1,190 beauty centers, including 791 men's centers and 399 women's centers. This forum reaffirms the Al Ain City Municipality's commitment to enhancing partnerships with these centers to elevate advanced practices in controlling and inspection. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of regular follow-ups on beauty centers and barbershops, providing the best preventive measures to protect the health and safety of visitors. The forum also aims to encourage the owners of these centers to adopt to the best health practices and comply with regulations and laws that promote delivering services according to the highest health standards.

 

Al Mazroui added: “We also emphasized the importance of cleanliness and sterilization, as well as verifying the validity of licenses and the equipment available within the establishment. Additionally, we checked the methods of storing and marketing the products used in the center, such as skincare and hair products, ensuring their safety and compliance with standards. The training and qualification of staff in beauty centers on cleanliness and safety procedures, as well as the use of equipment, were also highlighted. During the forum, attendees were informed about the most common violations and made aware of the penalties associated with the beauty and personal care sector.”
