Al Ain City Municipality has identified and filled 9 abandoned wells across 8 areas to ensure the safety of the community and maintain the city’s aesthetic appearance by removing potential hazards.
The purpose of the operation to identify and fill the abandoned wells is to protect the safety of the public by preventing accidents, preserve the visual appeal of the city, and secure active and functional wells used by owners and residents. It also aims to safeguard private properties.
Al Ain City Municipality is committed to locating wells that may be hard to spot, identify, or assess for their potential danger. Once identified, immediate action is taken to fill these wells due to the risks they pose to residents, children, laborers, and visitors, especially in sandy and desert areas surrounding residential and agricultural zones.
