Al Ain City Municipality opened Al Ain Flower Festival 2025 at Al Sarouj Park, covering an area of approximately 12,000 square meters. The festival will run until February 17, 2025.
The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Saif Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, His Excellency Rashid Al Menai, Acting Director-General of Al Ain City Municipality, along with several municipal officials and government representatives from the Al Ain region.
The festival offers a unique experience for nature and beauty enthusiasts, set in a vibrant, festive atmosphere that aligns with the Department of Municipalities and Transport's strategy to organize festivals that enhance domestic tourism in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, particularly in the Al Ain area.
Engineer Abdullah Sultan Al Derei, Director of the Technical Services Department, stated that Al Ain City Municipality aims, through this festival, to highlight the Al Ain region as an important recreational and tourist destination, extending the oasis city’s appeal.
He added that the festival's location was chosen at Al Sarouj Park due to its vast natural spaces suitable for flower planting. The site also offers integrated infrastructure, including spacious parking lots, public facilities, logistical services, and an RV Park, in addition to the "Sabe’ Market," which opens every Saturday, offering a diverse experience for festival visitors and enhancing the attraction of visitors from all regions.
Al Derei explained that this year's Al Ain Flower Festival is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, as the festival is designed in the shape of the human eye, with over 1.5 million flowers of various colors arranged around the word "Al Ain" in the center. The festival features 54 flower sculptures reflecting creativity and innovation in flower arrangement, as well as other illuminated sculptures scattered throughout the event.
He pointed out that the festival welcomes visitors from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with special morning visits organized for schools. It includes many accompanying activities such as the "Flowers from Seed to Consumer" exhibition, educational workshops, photo sessions, guided tours, competitions, and stage performances at the festival's venue. Additionally, there will be displays of flowers and natural products, making it a special recreational destination for families and visitors of all ages.
