Al Ain City Municipality has begun implementing a garden and decorative planting maintenance and outsourcing project for the Al Hayer and Sweihan areas, with a total cost exceeding 61 million AED and a completion period of 3 years.
The project involves the maintenance of public and mini parks in line with the Department of Municipalities and Transport’s strategy to efficiently deliver services to clients while enhancing the overall appearance of the city. This will contribute to improving the satisfaction index of residents regarding the quality of parks and recreational facilities, as well as the community’s satisfaction with the surrounding living environment.
Engineer Bakhita Jumaa Al Kaabi, Project Manager, confirmed that the project aims to provide sustainable infrastructure and facilities that meet the community's needs while preserving both agricultural and non-agricultural assets and improving aesthetic appearance by applying the highest quality standards. The project also aims to increase the per capita share of green space.
Al Kaabi added that the project includes upgrading sports fields by replacing seats and flooring, as well as refurbishing lighting poles in public parks and replacing artificial grass. Maintenance and beautification will be carried out for public and mini parks, sports fields, and walkways in the northern sector of Al Ain.
The maintenance operations for the project will cover Al Hayer Park, Al Shawaib Park, Al Faqa Park, Nahil Park, Al Hayer Oasis, Al Hayer Recreational Park, and the mini parks in residential neighborhoods.
